Available spots
Service Description
Over 8 weeks, students will discover motors, colour sensors, touch sensors, and distance sensors using the LEGO® Spike Prime robotics kit. They learn how to put the components together and control them by completing carnival-themed coding challenges. WEDNESDAYS APRIL 9-MAY 28 Dakota Community Centre (1188 Dakota Street) - 2nd Floor Meeting Room 5:45pm-6:45pm: ages 7-9 7:00pm-8:00pm: ages 10-12 Please note that both classes cover the same material, with the earlier class moving through it a bit slower. Students of any age with previous coding experience may register for the later class. Note that participants work in teams of two, paired by age, sharing one robot kit + one laptop. These classes are recommended for kids who are willing to participate without parental support (although parents are definitely welcome to stay in the room to help your child feel comfortable!). These classes are sequential with each lesson building on the previous and we highly recommend attending all classes. $18/ class. Space is limited and a one-class deposit is required to hold your spot.
